If you do not have enough money to buy the things you desire, then we have got the answer. It can be difficult to keep control of our cash spending activities. A little here and a little there never seems to be that much. But it all adds up, and soon you are wondering why you have so little or your paycheck left at the end of the each month. These money saving schemes will help you tighten those purse strings.

However, there is an issue you may have to deal with first. You may be looking to saving money because of bigger problems. Are you already in debt? Then you need to start by dealing with that first. You should think carefully about spending a lot of money on any consumable products. Anything that will be there one day and gone the next should be considered a frivolous spend. There was a time when you could go to the movies once a week to see the latest film. It was a fun way to pass the weekend with the family, especially if you had young children. That time has passed. A visit to the movies for a full family will now cost around sixty dollars. That is a lot of money for a film you may not enjoy. Instead, view the cinema as a luxury holiday. You do not plan a trip often but when you do, it will be worth it. You will go see the films you desperately want to on the biggest screens possible with added effects. Since you have not wasted money on the rubbish, you will be able to afford it.

Or, wait for the films to arrive online. But do not bother buying the hard copies. Commit to a cheap streaming service like Hulu or Netflix.


Music is a fantastic way to relieve stress but avoid wasted funds on new copies of songs on iTunes. We are of course not suggesting you pirate music! Instead, hunt through your loft or basement and find those old CDs. If you liked the songs in the past, you will still like them now.

These are just a few ideas on how to cut back, but there are plenty of others. For example do not waste any funds going to the gym. Go for a run or cycle. The effect will be the same, but the cost will be nothing. The important thing to do is separate your money into different areas of activities and decide on a fixed budget for each.
